Wands(and or) Offhands from Shecco
OR
Offhands from Dia Waeng

I like giving them all Woe Spreaders. The +60 HP is always a nice thing.
* Energy +10
* Dark damage: 11-22 (req. 9 Death Magic)
* Halves casting time of Death Magic spells (Chance: 20%)
* Halves skill recharge of spells (Chance: 20%)
* Health +30
* Health +30

I just gave mine Kole's Torments, cheap, decent health and energy gain. You don't need the attribute requirement very much anyway.

I prefer Nightbringers to Woe Spreaders but to each their own.

I use wands & off-hands on mine, usually a 5^50/10%HSR like Gordac's Needle or the hecket's green from NF and a 12, 15/-1, +30H collectors bloody knife from Factions or Shelbo's Gaze green from NF (same stats). My 2 main Olias' have Bortak's Claws, 5^50, 20%HCT.
Make sure you use a Bloodstained insignia, too.

I think some people just get a kick out of using oddball weapons on their characters. Monks with swords, Necros with spears, Warriors with bows, etc.
Their may be reasonable arguments for it in some instances, but it's the particular stats and how they benefit the overall build that really matter.

I thought it was just me, I seen some casters running swords and shields, main reason prolly rarity/show offyness, a stick with poo on it as rare as it is...I'm sure you get it. I do do a lil bit of showing off too, if I spend a lot on something.....well, lets just say, I don't hide it in the basement *
*I never let it affect my game, for the record

Wands do not get a +5 energy always mod.
Shield/spear (axe, sword) combo gives you the ability to run around with +60 hp and +8 armour.
I am cheap so I run around with shields and spears.
The shields are Aureate Aegises that I get from turning in the Stone Summit thingies - that I got TONS of when farming survivors at Killy. Spears are the pre-order thingies. (The only thing that really sucks about them is the fire mod - but meh ...)

My necros use:
Boneclaw staff from EoTN weaponsmiths, Asa, Derrick, or Soros
Energy: +10
Dark Dmg: 11-22
Halves skill recharge of spells (Chance: 20%)
+5 Insightful head
+30 Staff wrap
+5^50 Hale and Hearty Inscription
You can always put a +30 hale head (+60 total) and give up the +5 energy.
I personally would never run a spear and shield on my necros.

I recently earned my third necro hero (Livia), and I plan to turn her into the N/Rt healer member of a Sabway team. Naturally, her weapon won't really matter for this, since she'll be holding ashes most of the time. Likewise, if I switch the team to Discord with Livia as the Life Resto member, just about
any weapon will do.
However, I would like to pick a weapon or set that gives me the most flexibility for switching her into a Blood Magic build for PvE if I need a BiP or an SV necro or some other support build. I'm having a hard time deciding among the options, though.
+20e Soul Reaping or Blood Staff of Enchanting?
20/20 Blood wand and +1 Blood/+30hp Blood focus?
20/20 Blood Staff of Enchanting?
40/40 Blood set?
+5e Spear of Enchanting and 20/20 Blood focus?
Other?
I don't want to carry around a pack full of weapons for different hero builds, so I'd like to find one choice that would be at least adequate for the most common types of Blood builds as well as for Sabway and Discord team use. Right now I'm leaning towards the first or second option, but I'm open to all suggestions.

I have tried everything from giving monks hammers to giving warriors wands. In the end I realised that the weapon you stick into their hands will be used stupidly in any case. These days I stick casters weapons into caster's hands, and melee weapons into melee fighters' hands. What is important that for casters the weapon or offhand must have some e-management mods, and secondly health bonuses. For melee every extra % in damage counts, and again health bonuses are important. Almost all suitable weapons & offhands can be obtained from collectors, and in a few cases you buy/craft and mod it yourself. The only heroes I carry 2nd sets for are elementalists (depends on the element I set them up for) and rangers (different ranged/speed bows).
TLDR: Any weapon will not do - it affects their behavior.
